Francesca Anderson

After graduating from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Biology Fran joined Operation Wallacea as a research assistant in Mexico in 2022. She spent several weeks in Calakmul learning survey techniques and helping collect data on all sorts of bats, birds and butterflies before heading to the marine site and completing her PADI Open Water and diving with turtles. After getting back to the UK Fran spent a couple of months working as an outdoor educator for schools before making her way back to Opwall as our incredible Autumn Intern and then staying on as a full time member of the sales team! Fran then spent her summer leading mammal and herpetofauna surveys at our UK field course at the Knepp estate, and is now running our Knepp field course.
