Expeditions Have Begun!
All students have arrived safely on site and are now beginning their surveys.
Over the coming weeks, students will be gaining valuable field experience while contributing to our ongoing conservation and research programme.
Our expeditions will run until 12 August 2026, providing nine weeks of data collection for our Summer 2026 season. New students and staff join the expedition each week, with official expedition dates running from Thursday to Wednesday.
This status page will be updated as soon as we receive reports from staff on site. Please be aware that communications can occasionally be delayed due to field conditions, but we will endeavour to share updates as promptly as possible.

Our marine site in Krk has now closed for the season! Thank you for all the staff, volunteers and partners who work with us to make our expeditions run. Operation Wallacea is a unique model that allows for long term biodiversity data to be collected and used to lead to conservation and species protection all over the world. It is not easy, it takes time and commitment and for this we are incredible grateful to those who ensure we can continue.
