Katharina Schienbein – Madagascar 2024 #1

As a staff member there was not always a lot of time to take pictures but during the last days we were lucky to find some cool things. Both pictures show flatforms of completely different color and size.
One is the persian rug flatworm, which is rare to find in the malagasy waters and for us it placed itself beautifully in the middle of the rock. It may not look like it but it was bigger than a hand!!
The other one is a species I cannot name but it was 1.5mm big and moving over the corals with a grace one cannot imagine without seeing it themselves.

I have so many more pictures but these are my favorite for many reasons, the main one: many people do not know about those beautiful animals. So let’s showcase them
