When the story begins:
Sunday evening 20th July 2025
What did you find at Knepp?
I would like to say PEACE
But the funny thing is, that first night was not peaceful at all because of the busy Gatwick’s airport air traffic which silenced the Wild Nature of Knepp.
Green Woodpecker changed the soundtrack very early in the morning and then, different notes from Common Wood Pigeon, Robin, Chiffchaff and Goldcrest were added to the symphony.
The greatest gift was after the much needed toilet visit when the White Storks gave me good morning greetings and right after, the Red Deer, when they were spotted from the observatory platform.
At that time I felt I was present and at peace.

I would like to say KNOWLEDGE
I went to Knepp looking for answers, to help me to drive myself in the right direction, still some are pending, however I am inclined to say we should learn from nature. First to listen. Second to be.
Letting nature be and thrive freely is the key of this beautiful project.
Without submission or rush, at its own pace, creating connections with the natural flow, the ones that link emerging messy to the perfectionist eyes, but then providing the perfect balance.
Nature is wise. Aren’t we nature?

I would like to say NATURAL NURTURE
Genuine, authentic, who cares, protects and provides with courage.
After two weeks completely immersed in the Southern Block of Knepp with the Sky as my roof and the Soil as my floor, nature takes what is needed to carry on, without hesitation, simply answering to its survival instinct.
Courage is not about being brave, courage is daring to do what is right.
Are we going to answer the call to re-connect with our natural roots?
I would like to say ENERGETIC ENLIGHTEN
Wild nature is like the lighthouse with the essential task of illuminating the path at high power pursuing awakening.
As a human, there were times I felt low energy, but somehow miraculously being surrounded by nature I got its boost and fully recharged.

I would like to say PLAY with PASSION
It is all about passion, because when you do things with passion, it is impossible not to enjoy them.
The outcome is you just need to go there and experience it in person.
What Knepp and Operation Wallacea have achieved is extraordinary.
The synergy created between the Knepp Wilding project itself and the in-person experience that Operation Wallacea offers can not be explained in words, it can only be felt.
