Photo Competition Winners 2018!

We are happy to announce the winners of our 2018 photo competition! Thank you to Dr Jonathan Kolby for judging the competition! Jon has worked at our Honduras terrestrial site and set up HARCC (the Honduras Amphibian Rescue and Conservation Centre)

1st Place – Alex Hoad – Palm Viper

Jon’s comments – “I really like the light on its eye. The photo is nicely composed and has a great control of depth of field.”

2nd Place – Jalal Khan – Kingfisher

Jon’s comments – “Amazing capture of motion without losing detail. Background is quite pleasing to the eye.”

3rd Place – Yu Yan Fung – Kinkajou

Jon’s comments – “I really like the lighting in this photo and it has great composition. I also appreciate the playful expression on this kinkajou.”

Staff Choice – Estelle Davies

Finally, here in the office we like to choose our own favourite – the voting for this is open to all the Operation Wallacea offices, and the above picture by Estelle came out on top!
