Expedition Credit Application

You can use the form below to apply for a credit on your 2020 Opwall expedition equivalent to 100% of your payments to date minus any non-refundable flight costs.  This then protects any payments you have made and removes the need to make any immediate final balance payments.  It allows the school to then send a letter stating why they are cancelling the expedition because of government advice without invoking the cancellation terms that would otherwise apply.

Once the whole school group have their payments protected by applying for these credits and the school sends the letter stating why they have to cancel, Opwall are submitting a claim to the Aviva insurance policy for a full refund of all monies paid (must be submitted before the end of April).  If this is successful for the group, then all parents will be offered a full refund or the ability to stay in the group for the 2021 expedition.

Once the insurance claim is determined and if it has failed, then the credit can be used in the following ways:

1. You can use the value of the credit towards a 2021 expedition from the school or even a 2022 expedition.
2. If the students are no longer at the school, then the credit can be used towards a research assistant or dissertation project.
3. You can cash in your credit by having it sold to new students joining at a re-launch of the expedition at the school in 2021 or even 2022
4. If you need to cash in your credit before the re-launch of the expedition at the school then a partial refund will be offered based on the funds not already spent or committed.
