Transfer to Desk-Based Dissertation and 2021 Expedition

In light of the current coronavirus crisis, as discussed with our research team you can use the form below to change your existing dissertation booking to a desk-based dissertation project in 2020, with your expedition booking transferred to summer 2021. By completing this form, your transfer will be reversible should our expeditions be able to run this summer as planned. You will also have additional options at a later date, including moving your expedition to 2022 (e.g. if you want to use it for a Masters dissertation project), switching countries, and changing the duration (minimum 4 weeks required). In addition, you will still be entitled to a full refund should your university be unable to support a desk-based dissertation up until 1st May, unless you would still like to join us in 2021/2022 for general fieldwork experience.

In order for us to support you in completeing a desk-based dissertation, you will be required to have paid a minimum of 40% of the total Opwall fee by May 1st, and this 40% will form your non-refundable deposit towards your 2021 expedition. The remaining costs will be spread over a new payment schedule in Autumn/Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.
