Eleanor’s first experience of Opwall was joining an expedition to South Africa as a volunteer research assistant in 2014, where she gained valuable life experiences and a passion for nature conservation. The expedition cemented her ambition to pursue a career in conservation, and so having achieved her Zoology BSc at The University of Bristol in 2015, she went on to graduate from The University of Leeds with an MSc in Biodiversity & Conservation with African Ecology in 2016. During her studies, she also carried out various volunteering roles, including positions at Bristol Zoo Gardens (ZSL), Welsh Mountain Zoo, and also with the National Trust. Since Eleanor started working at Opwall in 2017 she has worked at our South Africa site, and now manages our Madagascar site as well as coordinating our New Zealand school groups. Always looking forward to the next expedition!
