Eleanor’s first experience of Opwall was joining an expedition to South Africa as a volunteer research assistant in 2014, where she gained valuable life experiences and a passion for nature conservation. The expedition cemented her ambition to pursue a career in the sector, and so having achieved her Zoology BSc at The University of Bristol in 2015, she went on to graduate from The University of Leeds with an MSc in Biodiversity & Conservation with African Ecology in 2016. Since Eleanor started working at Opwall in 2017 she has worked at our South Africa site and manages our Madagascar project as well as our UK project on the Knepp Estate. Eleanor manages our international offices and leads on a DEFRA funded Test looking at blended finance mechanisms for rewilding projects in the UK. Eleanor loves any time spent in the field and always looks forward to sharing the experience with new volunteers!
