The Sani Research Camp is located an hour away by paddled canoe from the Sani Lodge and serves as our center of operations in Sani. This location allows for easy access to the Sani Reserve, which measures over 40,000 hectares in size. Our local staff that work as guides and cooks come from the Sani Isla community that’s only two hours from the research camp. While on expedition, you will get to spend a day in the community and help the Sani Warmi (Warmi is the Kichwa word for Women). Although remote, camp is extremely confortable with flushing toilets and showers, don’t expect hot water yet this shouldn’t be a problem since the humidity is so high!

Sani Research Camp is a sub location to Ecuador
