The Bamff Estate spans across 1400 acres near Blairgowrie, Perthshire and is taking the first steps into rewilding an area of the land. Approximately 400 acres were taken out of production at the beginning of 2021 with the final aim of creating a wildland by minimizing human intervention and providing low intensity grazing through the reintroduction of larger herbivores. Bamff is also home to a resident beaver population who were first introduced in 2002 and whose ecosystem engineering is evident in the beautiful wetlands systems they have created where farm drainage ditches used to be in place.
