Dr. Edi Purwanto - Project Manager
Dr. Purwanto was appointed the Project Manager for the Lambusango World Bank/GEF project starting 1 February 2005. Dr Purwanto has a degree in Forestry from Bogor Institute of Agriculture, a Masters in watershed management and remote sensing from the International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences (ITC) in The Netherlands and a PhD from the Free University Amsterdam, Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences.

He started work as a lecturer on wildlife ecology, forest hydrology, soil and water conservation, watershed management, wildlife management, natural resource conservation. He has more than 15 years experience in hydrological research, education and training program, training materials development, lecturing and consulting activities in the field of forestry, forest hydrology, soil and water conservation, watershed management, wildlife conservation, socio-economic survey, participatory rural appraisal, criteria and indicators (C&I) for sustainable management of natural tropical forests. Edi was until taking up this post the Program Manager for the Wildlife Conservation Society-Indonesia Program (WCS-IP) but he has also worked with the International Tropical Timber Organization/ITTO, the Forestry Regional Service of West Java Province and the Kalimantan Forest Research and Development Center. Dr Purwanto has published more than 50 papers in peer reviewed journals as well as writing books on agricultural and water management topics for general audiences in Indonesia.

Rina Siahaan - Assistant Project Manager
Rina graduated from Hasanuddin University, Makassar, major in Architecture. Before joining the project, she served as a Program Officer of Church World Service (CWS) handled Livelihood Recovery Program for Molucan Internal Displacement Persons (IDPs) as well as Empowerment Program for Local Community in Buton (2002 – 2004). Supplementary Feeding Program for Molucan IDPs in Buton (2001 – 2002). HIV/AIDS & Sexual Transmitted Disease Prevention Program for hotel and café employee in Bau-Bau (2001 – 2002), Food for Work Program for urban poverty in Makassar (2000).
Sigit Wijanarko - Village Business Development Coordinator
Sigit graduated from Faculty of Agriculture University of Brawijaya, Malang (major in agronomy). In 1997 – 2001, he worked as an agronomist in West Kalimantan and South Sumatera to develop community based oil palm plantation. He worked as a consultant in several consultant firms such as PT. Tribina Matra Karya Cipta in Jakarta, PT. Peka Desindo Mandiri in Jakarta, PT. Akurat Supramindo Konsul, and PT. Kurnia Sylva Konsultindo in Jakarta. During worked as consultant, he used to conduct survey and analysis on marketing of agricultural products
Hendra Gunawan - Sustainable Rattan Extraction Specialist
Hendra graduated from Faculty of Forestry Winaya Mukti, Bandung. He worked as Forester in PT INHUTANI IV, Batang Hari Bungo Tebo – Jambi in 2002. From 2003-2004, he was in charge as a field supervisor of forest rehabilitation program at Mandalawangi Mountain (West Java). In 2004, he coordinated field assessor to evaluate the performance of Land Rehabilitation Program in West Java Province.
Mahdi Agus Aswar Ode Anwar - Forest Management Coordinator
Agus graduated from Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). He worked as staff of Forest Resource Management Program, Sylvalestari Indonesia Foundation, Bogor. Team Leader of Community Forest Boundary Arrangement in Jambi Province, Sumatera. Lecturer on Community Awareness Rising for Conservation of Lambusango Forest, Buton; Building and Maintenance Research Camp Manager, (Operation Wallacea), Research Camp Manager (Operation Wallacea). Field Assessor for Forest Plantation Company Performance Assessment in PT INHUTANI V, Lampung Province, Sumatera; Community Assistance for Indonesia Rehabilitation Forest Program in Villages Around Salak Mountain, Bogor; Nodes Camp Coordinator (Operation Wallacea)
