Reunion Barn Dance and Party  2008

Saturday 6 September in Jamie’s Barn, Old Bolingbroke, Lincolnshire

A good time was had by all at the monster reunion party and barn dance this year. Knotty Pine String Band, an Irish band and Mas y Mas a Cuban style band were playing dance music in Jamie's Barn, Old Bolingbroke in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds on Saturday 6 September. There was a bar with real ale, hog roast and spicy vegetarian food.

Thanks to everyone that helped make the event a success and to everyone that joined us on the night, it was great to see you all!

How to get here and where to stay

Lindsay Baigent

Booking the party
We can only hold 400 people in the barn so if you do want to come can you please email Jenna at jenna.lambra@opwall.com and she will send you a signed invitation which you will need to bring with you and show on the gate.  There is strictly NO ENTRY unless your official invite is presented on the door so keep it somewhere safe!!

Getting there and away
The easiest way to get to the event is to drive and free parking has been arranged.  If you are going to travel by train then you need to get to Boston via Grantham.  We will be organising buses to pick up those going to the party from Boston train station at 4-30pm so you would need to email Jenna and let her know you will need transport to the event so she can book a space for you on the bus.  On the Sunday morning after the event buses will leave the village at 1030hrs and will be back at Boston station in time to catch the 1144hrs train to Grantham.  You will need to pay the bus driver £20 for the return trip.

Accommodation
Most people will be camping overnight in a field near the barn so you would need to bring your own tent. Camping is free but if you want more up-market accommodation then there is limited B & B accommodation in the village and the nearby towns of Spilsby and Horncastle.  For a normal taxi charge there will be a minibus on site that can ferry people to and from their B & B accommodation if needed.
