Sara Carlson
Sara first became involved with Operation Wallacea as a volunteer in the summer of 2009 in South Africa and Mozambique after studying Biology and Psychology at Lehigh University. She began working for OpWall as a fundraising advisor on the road visiting east coast universities, and continued on to provide support for volunteers headed into the field and to expand Operation Wallacea in the US. As a member of staff this past summer on Hoga in Indonesia, she was the administrator for school groups and introduced a Coral Reef Ecology Course for General Surveyors, along with feeding her passions for travel, diving, and marine life. Sara is the Tour Director and is excited to head the US team for the upcoming tour of over 100 universities this fall. |

Joe Finocchio
Joe is a recent graduate of Lehigh University where he received his B.S. in Finance. Spending previous summers with Berkery Noyes & Co. LLC and Warner Elektra Atlantic, Joe has gained invaluable experience supporting financial analysts and department head executives in each industry. He began working with OPWALL in February 2010, and supported the expedition efforts of nearly 100 US volunteers nationwide, expanding the program to include high school students and bolster US representation. As a part of the 2010 Honduras expedition, Joe acted as the Base Camp Manager within Cusuco National Park for eight weeks, overseeing several satellite camps. He is currently the Office Manager of the US Office, preparing for the Fall University Tour out of Bay Head, NJ. |

Wes Spence Wes graduated in 2010 from University of Vermont with a B.A in Biology. Contrary to Wes' familiarity with the wintery weather in Vermont, he spent 4 weeks in the blazing heat on the Sinai Peninsula with Opwall, tracking small mammals, hiking mountains and avoiding the ever-ensnaring thorned flora. Wes will be using his international background for promotions and advising with the US office in 2010.

Matt Horder Matt graduated from Tufts University in 2010, majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies. Matt has lived in the USA for 8 years now, having grown up in England, however neither of these could compare to the 8 weeks he spent in South Africa and Mozambique with OpWall in 2009, where he fell in love with the braais and the cape glossy starlings. Fortunately he never combined these interests. Having loved college so much, he jumped at the opportunity to spend the first fall of his post-college career touring schools in the northeast spreading the word of OpWall.
